I was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to an Irish mother and American father, but spent the majority of my life in the United States. My adventurous parents cultivated my interest in experiencing travel and global cultures. However, books and movies were often the best and most affordable way to satisfy my curiosity.
At a young age, I began writing short stories and publishing them in anthologies through the iWrite program for children. This experienced fostered a desire to express my creativity through storytelling that has continued into my career.
In 2011, I moved to Los Angeles, CA and pursued acting opportunities. My love of stories had developed into an intense appreciation for television and film, especially The Sopranos, Star Wars, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. However, as an actress, I found myself longing to have another outlet that allowed for more creative control. After graduating high school early, I went on to pursue a double major in Film and Business at Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles, a private women's university dedicated to diversity and the advancement of women. This unique undergraduate education solidified my commitment to telling raw stories that represent a vast variety of human experiences.
